The Treatment Co-ordinator co-ordinates, integrates and represents all facets of patient services from the first phone call through continuing care compliance. This position manages the daily, weekly and monthly schedule to meet the clinic’s production, efficiency and collection goals.
The Treatment Co-ordinator is cross-trained with the Specialist Nursing team so that you can assist when necessary. Job Type: Full-Time (40h per week), Probationary 9 month contract with view to permanency.
Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service at all times and address the needs of patients in a fast-paced culture
- Answering enquiries via phone and email
- Prepare and discuss treatment options, establish treatment schedules, and prepare financial arrangements with patients
- Monitor each patient’s progress to ensure completion of dental treatment plan and report patient status to attending dentist as well as enter and track patient treatment plans in computer system
- Be knowledgeable in various insurance plans, tax allowable treatments and limitations!
- Manage assessment reports and progress
- The ability to complete all tasks and duties assigned to front office personnel!
- Actively participate as a contributing member of the front of house team to achieve patient
- Optimise the schedule to reach daily goals
- Contributing to the growth of the clinic through the provision of innovative systems and suggestions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Dental Nursing / Dental Hygiene Qualification (essential)
- 3-5 years minimum Dental Nursing / Dental Hygiene experience in a high volume dental clinic (essential)
- Dental Radiography qualification a plus
- Communication skills to build rapport with patients
- Positive attitude to overcome common patient objections / rejections
- Good judgement and sound decision-making ability
- Computer literate a must (MacPractice is a plus)
- Specialities experience with Periodontists, Prosthodontists, Oral Surgeons, Endodontists, Orthodontists and Paediatric Dentist’s is a plus.
- References required (2 professional references related to the dental industry. One being from last employer)
- Practice Manager experience an advantage but not a requirement
